Accessibility statement
Last updated:
DDSEMail aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We use semantic HTML, support light and dark themes, and continuously test the marketing site and inbox for keyboard navigation, color contrast, and screen-reader compatibility. If you hit a barrier, please tell us.
Standard we follow
We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That covers four principles: perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust — including color contrast, keyboard accessibility, alternative text, focus management, and clear error messages.
What we do today
- Semantic HTML landmarks and a single, descriptive
<h1>per page. - Visible focus styles and keyboard-operable navigation, including the compose modal.
- Light and dark themes resolved before paint to prevent flashes.
- Form fields with associated labels and machine-readable error states.
- Alternative text for meaningful imagery; decorative imagery is marked
aria-hidden. - Animations respect
prefers-reduced-motionon the marketing page's scroll reveals.
Known limitations
Some product surfaces are still being audited:
- Inbox keyboard shortcuts and screen-reader announcements are evolving.
- Some marketing illustrations are decorative; we are working to add richer descriptions where relevant.
